Last year, my father bought the two horses of my uncle and from then on, I found that horses are one of the most exciting pets to own. Taking care of horses is a big responsibility, especially in feeding; so to make sure that our horses remain fit, my father always buys horse supplements to keep them healthy. You will also need a home for your horse, so my brother always provides sawdust or hay for beddings. They need to have rugs for the night as they can not move around to keep warm.
They also need to have their hooves trimmed every eight weeks to keep their feet from getting cracked. Horses need to have regular checkups from a veterinarian, even if they are not sick to make sure that they are healthy. Horses also need to have regular exercise and plenty of love and attention. When you are able to be patient with your horse, it can even be the best friend that you ever had.
My cousin, Angelo love dogs. He had a dog since he was five; his dog’s name is Buster unfortunately Buster already died because he is already quite old. A month ago he bought a new puppy, it is a golden retriever, and he named the dog Buddy. At first he really had a hard time with Buddy because the puppy was afraid of him. Buddy does not want to eat or play with him. He said that house breaking a puppy is really quite hard; especially that Buddy is already six weeks old. The puppy was already used with its old owner so he is quite afraid with Angelo’s presence.
A few days more, Buddy was already eating his food though it is not quite lively. It also pees every where and had already messed the kitchen once. One time, Angelo’s homework was shredded into pieces by Buddy; Angelo really got angry and shouted at Buddy. The puppy got sick and became really lame. Angelo was really worried so he let veterinarian have a look at Buddy, the vet said that the puppy was just upset. So that night Angelo really tried to cheer Buddy up and eventually after a few days, Buddy was already accustomed in the house and with my cousin. It is now playing with my cousin and is also really lively.
I found a really helpful article that will help you prevent pet behavior problems. Well, it’s actually a list of ten important tips that will help you maintain a well behaved pet:
- Set rules immediately and stick to them.
- Avoid situations that promote inappropriate behavior.
- Observe the pet and provide what it needs to be cared for and attended to.
- Supervise the new pet diligently through undivided individual attention and training, and restrict the pet’s access to a limited area of the house until training is complete.
- Encourage good behavior with praise and attention.
- Correct bad behaviors by providing positive alternatives. (A toy for a slipper, scratching post for the sofa.)
- Never physically punish or force compliance to commands. This may lead to fear biting or aggression.
- Don’t play rough or encourage aggression or play biting.
- Expose pets to people, animals, and environments where you want them to live.
- See your veterinarian if serious or unresolved behavior problems exist.
Following these simple tips will create a better relationship between you and your beloved pets.
The picture of Gryphon’s dog urn on the HAL Woodworking website is amazingly lifelike. Such a high-quality memorial would make a beautiful resting place for anyone’s pet. Gryphon’s owners, the Marquardt’s had such nice things to say about the urn in their testimonial. Pets are truly a part of the family.
