Robotics is one of the fields of technology that really amazes me. The robots that they make replace some the things that before only man can do. Like very good bartender robots or robot sales men. Amazing right? But would it not be far more amazing if your robot can do your entire house hold chores? Yes indeed a very amazing invention from ETRI Korea has produced a house robot called ROMI.

ROMI works in a voice command system in which the owner sends a voice mail to the robot to enter commands. The robot can amazingly sweep and vacuum floors, throw and segregate your trash, wash dishes and amazingly fix minor disasters in the house. It can as well monitor and guard your house. It sends signals to the nearest police station if someone gets into your house. Who knows what the future ROMI can do; fix shower faucets, replace bulbs or replace a flat tire.

Finally another amazing feature of the robot is that keeps track on all the corners of your house and sends the photos to your office computer if you wish too. Manufacturers say that ROMI cannot yet be released in the market for they are still doing further studies on the robot. The manufacture as well needs to enhance other features of the robot.
